At PixelQR, we take privacy seriously. Below you'll find what data we collect, how we use it, and what measures we apply to protect it.
Data We Collect
- •QR Data: We store the information you configure in each QR code (target URL, settings, design, etc.).
- •Email and Name: In addition to QR data, we store the email address, first name, and last name of registered users.
- •Scan IPs: We record the IP address from which a QR scan is performed. These IPs are used for analytics and to obtain an approximate location of the scan point (not an exact location).
- •Device and Browser Data: We store technical information such as operating system, device type, and browser user agent of the client performing the scan.
Google Ads Tracking
We use Google Ads tracking tags to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns and optimize our marketing. This technology allows us to understand which ads lead to conversions on our platform.
Data collected:
- •Pages visited and actions performed on our site
- •Information about conversions (registration, purchases, etc.)
- •Device type and browser
- •Approximate location based on IP address
You can learn more about how Google uses this data in the Google Privacy Policy and you can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
Scan Anonymity
Scans are anonymous: IPs and technical data from each scan are not linked to the person who performed the scan.
Passwords and Security
If you use passwords to protect a QR (for example, a QR with restricted access), these passwords are stored in encrypted form. We never store passwords in plain text.
Authentication and User Data
We use Clerk for user management and authentication. Clerk manages and stores the necessary information for accounts (e.g., profiles, sessions, and authentication). We recommend reviewing Clerk's privacy policy for more details on how they manage this data.
Payments
All payments and payment method information are processed and managed by Stripe. We do not store card numbers or sensitive payment data on our servers. For more information on how Stripe handles payments, consult Stripe's documentation and their privacy policy.
Approximate Location Usage
The IP recorded during a scan is used to derive an approximate location (e.g., city or region) for analytical purposes. We do not calculate or store an exact location (we do not track GPS coordinates).
Export and Analysis
You can export scan data (for example, tables in Excel/CSV format) from your dashboard for external analysis. These files will include the fields we collect (timestamp, IP, approximate location, device, browser, etc.).
Retention and Deletion
We retain data necessary for service operation and to comply with legal obligations. If you need us to delete your data or wish to request a dump of information associated with your account, contact us at privacy@pixelqr.example.
Contact and Questions
If you have questions about this privacy policy, please contact us at support@pixelqr.app.
